Lockerbie Victims today

Postby Veenture » Fri Aug 21, 2009 2:26 pm

Fellow members, I dislike politics but after witnessing on TV the release of a mass murderer and his triumphant return and welcoming reception in his own country, this is my comment that I had to send (and have) to CNN today.

"We may well consider the release of the Lockerbie Bomber by all those responsible, not only as a shameful act of betrayal but also as a most naively foolish political action. Hopeful of getting material gain (oil) in return by their move whilst dressing it up as their so called ‘deed of compassion’, what they are now getting in return is what the whole world can witness on their TV screens. Boy has their plan backfired; the whole of Libya is laughing its head (…) off with what they seem to celebrate as a huge political victory.
Saddest thing of all now is that insult has been added to injury to each and every innocent Lockerbie victim. My heart goes out once more to the victims".

'Have told the daughters since they were little:

"Rule Number 1, LIFE AIN'T FAIR."

"That is why, you went to state schools and drove beaters while the kids across the street went to private universities and recieved new cars on their 16th birthdays and really rich kids got estates as graduation presents. It is also why you are beautiful and perfect and some other little kid in Afghanistan stepped on a land mine this morning and got their legs blown off and somebody else got told they have cancer.

"Because LIFE AIN'T FAIR."

I'm with you, Paul.
"follow the money". I don't know about the accuracy of this, but I understand a pending oil deal with Libya is a part of this picture.
