2015 VENTURES INTERNATIONAL FAN FEST

HOURS: 10 AM - 9 PM
Tom Baltaeff- fest coordinator, returning here to PLUG my annual
event dedicated to continuing the legacy of the "most popular &
biggest selling instrumental band in the history of recorded music!"
Hard to disagree right?
Each & every year, fanatical & die hard Ventures fans meet up at the
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS HALL in Crum Lynne, Pa. (suburb of Phila.)
to honor their heroes with all day jamming. Hey that's not all, the
$50 cover charge includes morning breakfast, lunch & a dinner buffet.
In addition, throughout the day, memorabilia is on display, there's
merchandise for sale & an auction takes place during dessert & coffee.
It's also lookin' like we'll have time for a Q&A with our special guests!
Bob & Ian Spalding, both members of the Ventures (presently in Japan
on tour) plan to attend again this year. They'll not only make their
presence felt within each of our half dozen musical pairings but feature
their guitar prowess alongside our two featured bands:
THE PICKNIKS outta Cleveland, Ohio & BONGO STRAITS outta Chicago!
The fest itself has come a long ways musically since our first year '010.
In fact, the fest 'musically' now seems to have taken the same path The
Ventures choose back in 1960. Yes, when one attends this fest, they hear
all the 'cover songs' that the band covered but our jammers are now doin'
their best imitations of The Ventures ever. We now cover all genres of
music & have branched out from Walt, Don't Run, Apache, Pipeline, Diamond
Head, Out Of Limits, Perfidia, Secret Agent Man &Let's Go. The theme we're
going with this year is JAZZY!
