No, not this time. They arrived on Saturday (Don, Nokie, Leon and Bob Spalding and Mel's wife Fiona) and left for airport 6:00 AM the next morning. After show, people waited long line to see them. I did not want to cut in the line and my daughter was tired so we left earlier. I called and invited Nokie for breakfast the next morning but he needed to catch the earlier flight.
Nokie is selling his RV and plans to buy a house in Yuma, AZ. He wont drive his RV down to Yuma to see his doctor there anymore. If he drive his Chrsler down, I will ask him to stop by to see you. Nokie is very quite and a little shy person. I may go up to Bakersfields if we can arrange meeting there. Actually, after he move to Yuma, you and Donna can come down to visit me and we can all drive down to see him and his wife; Judy.
Yeah, Gene Mole was his good friend.( to bad he passed away last year) Once Nokie and I talked about the song "Sunny River Rock" he and Gene wrote together. (I think Nokie did most part and kind of gaving Gene credit on songwriting) Semie and Nokie were very good friends. Even after the hard feeling between The Ventures and Semie, Nokie was still friendly with Semie. They did the "Mosrite Nokie Edwards Signature Model" together just 1 year before Semie's death.
