Playing around with my photo gear. The Strat is one I scored on ebay a couple months ago.

Duane...

Now, if I could only get dad to "lend" me one of his Mosrite guitars! I mean come on dad, you can't play them all at once! :D

Oooooo - I like that color. Nice gear! I dunno if you're gonna part a man and his Mosrite, though ....

Looks like a MIM Strat. If so you'll love it. A lot of people don't know this but I'll tell you if you don't tell but all the necks on MIM guitars and basses are produced at the Corona, CA pland then sent to mexico for final sanding, drilling and finishing. They are great guitars for the money. Congrats on your aquisition, Kevin

GattonFan - I think you're probably right!

KRamone27 - I really like this guitar and it is my current favorite. It's funny because my first was the sunburst (MIN) in my avatar photo and I bought this one to keep at work just to practice unplugged and such. As it turns out this one stays at home to play through amps and my first one is at work. dubtrub did score me a nice little Fender Champion that I keep at work too.

Kev is ABSOLUTELY right! There ain't nothing wrong with a "Taco-caster!" I had one just to have something
to bang on. But someone offerred me some 'stupid money' for it and I sold it a while back. The difference
was I had set it up and she played 'like butta' . But I still have my "Sushi-caster" from 1986 with
the Kahler Locking Tremelo System and she is armed with EMGs. This is the guitar I took with me a few
nights ago to a gig as a Backup. It turned into a Nightmare when I popped a "B" string on my '65 P.W. Mo'
and I ended up having to use the Strat for the rest of the Gig. The problem was that I was not prepared for the
Strats' thicker neck when I had to use it because of the radius differences of the two necks between the
Strat and the Mo'. I need to remind myself that I need to play the 'other' guitar for a little while B4 I take it to a Gig.
.......but I do miss my 'Taco' .
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

I have played that guitar and it is a beauty. The kid set up the action like a pro. The action is low but no fret buzz and is every bit as nice as any high dollar Strat.

BTW, that photo could be a Fender poster if it didn't have that orange pick stuck in the headstock. ;)

Danny, you should have him photograph your guitars.

Ya the dude did an awesome job on setup. Actually I really lucked out because he had also replaced the stock pickups with Texas Specials and I got the stock pickups as well. It really is a great guitar.

That darn pick, I didn't even notice it when I shot it. Everyone agrees that it just kills the picture. I need to reshoot it and get it right! I did, however, have a buddy at work want to hire me to photograph his guitars/amps for insurance and for large poster prints! :D

Duane,

The lighting and composition of the photo are great. If you are going to redo the shot, I'd try and find a way to prop up the guitar at isn't as obtrusive to the photo as a regular guitar stand. Also, I'd turn on the amp so the jewel light glows, and put the pickup selector someplace more ballsy than the neck pickup, maybe middle/bridge or just bridge. :)
