Danny;
Just curious. How would you rate your build, to ones offered by other manufacturers.
Personally I tried to obtain the most correct, and quality parts I could. So if assembled correctly, should meet or exceed factory Guitars.

Re: Blackguard Telecaster
It's finished, and I could not be happier.
The color is exactly what I was looking for, the grain shows through great.
I love this build.
Thanks to Danny I took my time and did it right, NOT MY WAY.
I forgot to photo the back to show the grain, I'll post it later.

Re: Blackguard Telecaster
Here are some more photos. I know the Fender decal is not looked upon favorable, but this baby isn't going anywhere.
I still have to get the 4 slotted Neck mounting screws. The one's I bought were too long.
All parts are as close to 1952 Fender as I could find, even the controls are New old Stock from 1953. The pickups are reissue 1952, tuners, same thing, String tree, original. I wanted a serial number, so I selected my birth date, 10/18. Which just happens to fall into the serial number range of the original production run, and in the list of known serial numbers this one is not listed.

Yes all Re-Ranch Finish products. I'm working on another build, using alternate products, to see if I can cut down cost.

Re: Blackguard Telecaster
I strung it up and played it last night. Had fret buzz past 3rd fret. So I put back it in the case, and waited overnight, because the guitar had already been assembled, and it played great. Just took it apart to finish it. This morning, Played like butter. This is without a doubt the best ax I own.
What's Ironic, is the fact, that I built it.

Panther, that's a beautiful guitar. I should also point out that I had the chance to play Danny's Tele two weeks ago and it's a beaut as well. I'm more of a fan of the rosewood/bound 60s Tele Deluxe vibe, but these are really growing on me.
