Well, the Forum's "Eltuce" was absolutely right about Semie Moseley & Jim Mouradian having gotten together for a most memorable meeting; however it was not for lunch, but instead for breakfast.
I was speaking with Jim Mouradian and he remembers the Semie encounter very well. It was at a guitar show in Dallas/Forth Worth. As Jim remembers it was at a "small" hotel breakfast/dining room with only about 8 booths; he didn't know Semie would be there; there was no "crowd" to see or meet him (Semie); Jim recalls Semie being a "good spirit", very "talkative", and "wide-awake" in his personality and mood.
Jim decribed it as Semie being pleased to "hold court" right there in the little hotel breakfast room. And that he was most earnest in really "getting back on top in the scene". And Jim felt that Semie was feeling at that time that he and his company never really got the level of "recognition" that his instruments and company justly deserved.
I can appreciate how these two (American masters) connected that morning for breakfast; they both seemed to radiate "good spirit" and unmatched dedication to their form of art & design.
So, Eltuce, you had it right on; thanks for sharing the lead on this neat little Mosrite-Mouradian story.
I am proud to own both masters works of supreme craftsmanship.
