What can one better do on a holiday than spent some time on his obsession?
I got a longhorn bassbody from Saf so I give it some rebirthing therapy.
First routed the top off

Glued together a new one

Trimmed it flush. Now I have to figure out the neck

O my goodness, I noticed that Longhorn Danelectro(?) body in one of your pics in the bass-build thread and thought perhaps you had an order from The Golden Earring's bass player...

I'm sure your skills are going to work wonders on the Longhorn too

Beautiful! Rivals the ones that Jerry Jones makes ... And you can be as creative as you want to be with the colors, p'up, etc ... Great job!

What a fine job. I just love the look of that attractively figured Maple neck

Thnx guys!
I didnt try it on a real bassamp yet but on my peavy DB it sounds great. From deep reggae to funky tones! I'm a happy camper.
When playing it on my lap I realise what a great designer Nat Daniel was, its really a comfortable instrument.
