Wicked Longhorn.

Postby oigun » Mon Aug 09, 2010 11:04 am

What can one better do on a holiday than spent some time on his obsession?
I got a longhorn bassbody from Saf so I give it some rebirthing therapy.
First routed the top off

Glued together a new one

Trimmed it flush. Now I have to figure out the neck

O my goodness, I noticed that Longhorn Danelectro(?) body in one of your pics in the bass-build thread and thought perhaps you had an order from The Golden Earring's bass player... ;)

I'm sure your skills are going to work wonders on the Longhorn too 8-)

 Beautiful! Rivals the ones that Jerry Jones makes ... And you can be as creative as you want to be with the colors, p'up, etc ... Great job!

Thnx guys!
I didnt try it on a real bassamp yet but on my peavy DB it sounds great. From deep reggae to funky tones! I'm a happy camper.
When playing it on my lap I realise what a great designer Nat Daniel was, its really a comfortable instrument.
