Eastwood Airlines

Postby GattonFan » Tue Jun 01, 2010 3:39 pm

Have any of you played/owned one of the Eastwood Airline copies - maybe one of the map style guitars? I've always been interested in the Nationals and Airlines, but never enough to lay down the $2-6k to get an original res-o-glas. These seem to be Eastwood's higher-end guitars. Any reviews from experience with one?
Dennis
So many guitars; So little time ..

I've been tempted .. i think we see the old style airline map in the tom petty video for
into the great wide open
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqmFxgEG ... 1&index=18

.. Mike Campbell is playing one through the song.

The new ones are a slightly different shape, no cutaway on the lower part of the body ,, I think the old one looks cool.
There's an eastwood video of a surf medley played on a modern surf green one by joey leone .. it gets better towards the end when they do secret agent man. lol

Did you spot Johnny Depp as Eddie and Faye Dunaway as his manager?

Juan,
Tom and Mike are 'well known' for collecting 'vintage guitars and amps' and putting them in their own "VAULT."
