My latest Gretsch toy

Postby eltuce » Fri Apr 16, 2010 4:10 pm

So yes, the Brass Rail was winking at me and the Gretsch Penguin but Penguins are everywhere and the price was right on this one. Plus I figured I need to leave the Brass Rails alone until Austin gets one. Sooo, I sold a few and got this lovely little 1 of 75 Knotty PInes that were made. I also donated my junky First Act that I got for 50 bucks to a silent auction at a benefit last week. Not to toot my own horn but to toot my own horn, I'm glad I did. It wasn't worth trying to sell and it wound up fetching $220 for a great cause. Anyway, guess I should go play with the new toy!

Thanks, YES, I am a sucker for the western thing! I put it up against the Billy Zoom silver jet with the Seymour Duncan Dynasonics, man, those Duncans are soooo much better, not that this one doesn't sound great but it's tempting to splurge for those pickups.

Any idea how those compare to the Seymour Duncan Dynasonics?
